Beers, Sweat and Tears

Tor Da Force brings Beers, Sweat and Tears to The Bandstand on Thursday 1 October, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. It's an exhibition that tells the story of 26 years of live music, one faded T-shirt at a time.

Tor Da Force has spent over two decades as a devoted fan, promoter and festival booker, and this is her first time exhibiting as an artist. She's collected the well-worn shirts that mark the bands, the mosh pits, the screamed lyrics and the dance moves that have shaped her life chasing live music. Each shirt works as a snapshot of an era, carrying the memory of an unforgettable gig, a dancefloor and the lifelong connections that come with them. It's a deeply personal look at a life spent in the crowd.

The exhibition is part of the second Arts by the Sea Fringe, which runs from Sunday 27 September to Sunday 11 October. The fringe extends the creativity of the core Arts by the Sea festival to independent venues across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and this year's theme is 'ELEMENTAL', celebrating the powerful energies that connect people to each other and to the world around them. The fringe is powered in collaboration with South Coast independent music curators We Broke Free.

Beers, Sweat and Tears runs from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at The Bandstand in Bournemouth, and entry is pay as you feel.
