Arts & Crafts Taster for LD Adults

Arts Able are running a free arts and crafts taster session for adults with learning disabilities at The Old School House on Wednesday 28 October, from 10:30am to 12:30pm. It's a Halloween-themed morning, so the making will lean into the spooky side of things, and all the materials are provided on the day.

Arts Able is an organisation that holds creative workshops for adults with learning disabilities in a safe, friendly environment. They describe the session as a chance to get creative, meet new people and enjoy a supportive atmosphere, with the focus on the making rather than the finished product. If you've been looking for a way to get into something creative without needing to bring your own kit or commit to a long course, this is a good place to start.

The session runs for two hours, so there's plenty of time to settle in and work through a project without feeling rushed. Because it's a taster, it's designed to be accessible regardless of your experience — you don't need to have picked up a paintbrush or a glue gun before to join in.

It's held at The Old School House (TOSH), which you'll find at Gladstone Mews, Gladstone Road, Bournemouth, BH7 6BG. The session is free, and since all materials are provided, there's nothing you need to bring along. It runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Wednesday 28 October.
