Informal artist-led critique night to share artwork and gain feedback, hosted by ceramicist Imogen Charleston.
Imogen Charleston is hosting an artist-led crit night at The Old School House in Boscombe on Wednesday 18 November. It's an informal evening for sharing artwork and getting feedback, and Charleston is the one running the show.
If you're not familiar with her work, Charleston is a ceramic artist. She works with wheelthrown, woodfired ceramics, and there's a local thread running through it: she makes them using wild-foraged and reclaimed waste materials gathered from the Jurassic Coast. Beyond the studio, she also does live pottery demonstrations.
The night itself is a critique session, so the idea is to bring in work you're currently working on and get some eyes on it. It's an informal setup, and since it's artist-led, it's more about a conversation between makers than a formal review. If you've been keeping something in the studio because you're not sure where to take it next, this is the kind of night to bring it along.
