Alestorm, the Scottish pirate metal band, headline the O2 Academy Bournemouth with support from Battle Beast and Wizardthrone.
Alestorm are playing the O2 Academy Bournemouth on Sunday 17 January 2027. They're headlining with Battle Beast and Wizardthrone on support, and the date is part of a 13-date tour.
Alestorm started in 2004 as a project by a group of lads from a small town in eastern Scotland and grew into what they call the best pirate metal band in the world. They describe their sound as 'true Scottish pirate metal', a blend of folk and power metal in the vein of Korpiklaani and Turisas, but with a piratical twist. Their humorous, party-friendly anthems have won them fans from New Zealand to Lithuania, and they've seen their popularity and critical acclaim grow with every album. These days they play some of Europe's most prestigious festivals alongside their own worldwide headline shows.
Support comes from Helsinki's Battle Beast, who mix classic and symphonic metal with big synths and '80s hard rock and have scored four Finnish number ones, and Wizardthrone. The Bournemouth date is one of thirteen on the tour.
