The Harlem Globetrotters brought their world-famous "100 Year Tour" to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Monday 28 March 2026. This exhibition basketball team, founded by Abe Saperstein in 1926, has played more than 26,000 games across 124 countries and territories. Known for combining athletics, theater, and comedy, their games are designed as family-friendly entertainment suitable for all ages. During this tour stop, the team faced off against their long-time rivals, the Washington Generals, accompanied by their signature whistled theme song, "Sweet Georgia Brown" by Brother Bones, and their mascot, Globie.

The event at the BIC followed a structured schedule, with auditorium doors opening at 6:00 p.m., the first half running from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., followed by a 20-minute interval, and the second half concluding between 8:35 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. Standard ticket prices started from £33.25. For those looking for closer interaction, two upgrade options were available. The Magic Pass offered a 30-minute pre-show court session for shooting, tricks, and autographs, requiring soft-soled shoes and adult supervision for under 14s. The Celebrity Court Pass granted access to the court during pregame warm-ups 30 minutes before the game, including a commemorative lanyard.
The venue for the evening, the Bournemouth International Centre, is located on Exeter Road on the south coast. Owned by the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council and operated by the social enterprise BH Live, the complex was built between 1982 and 1984, opening on 6 September 1984. It features several spaces, including the Windsor Hall, which has a capacity of up to 6,500 standing or 4,000 seated, alongside the circular Purbeck Hall and the Solent Hall.
