Sukhishvili Georgian National Dance Company

Sukhishvili Georgian National Dance Company are performing at Moore Theatre on Sunday 18 October, bringing their Georgian dance to Birmingham for the evening. It's a concert by the company themselves, so the whole bill is their own work.

If you're not familiar with them, Sukhishvili is Georgia's national dance company. They're known for taking traditional Georgian dance and bringing it to the stage, and this is a full concert of that material. It's a company that carries the name of its founders, and they've spent decades touring their version of Georgian dance around the world, so this is a well-established act rather than a one-off project.

Because it's a national company, the performance is built around the dance traditions of Georgia. That's what you'll see on the night: the company's take on those dances, performed as a full concert. It's a company that's spent its life on the road, and this is one of their stops in the UK.

Tickets start from £93, and the show is at Moore Theatre on Sunday 18 October.
