Stewart Lee faces a ferocious comedy challenge from a tough-talking werewolf comedian in a new show exploring his own decline.
Stewart Lee is at the Birmingham Hippodrome on Sunday 18 October, and it's not a solo show. He's sharing the stage with The Man-Wulf, a tough-talking werewolf comedian from the dark forests of the subconscious who hates humanity and spends the night laying down a ferocious comedy challenge to Lee, whom he describes as 'culturally irrelevant and physically enfeebled'.
Lee builds the show around his own decline: approaching sixty, dealing with debilitating health conditions and a diminished TV profile, with a stand-up style that seems obsolete. He sets himself the task of unleashing his inner Man-Wulf to position himself alongside comedy legends like Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais and Jordan Peterson. The Times has called him 'the world's greatest living stand-up comedian', and he's a former BAFTA award winner, so there's plenty of ground for him to work with as he takes on the werewolf.

It's a brand-new show, and it runs for about two hours including the interval. It's strictly for ages 14 and over because of potential swearing and adult content, so keep that in mind if you're bringing anyone younger. Tickets are £34.50, and the show starts at 7:30pm on the Main Stage, with doors opening roughly half an hour before.
