Stand-up show by Joe Wells in which he explores fatherhood through the lens of neurodiversity, part of a three-date UK run.
Joe Wells brings his new show, Daddy Autism, to The Glee Club in Birmingham on Sunday 25 October. It's a stand-up set that takes a very personal starting point: Wells and his wife are expecting a baby, and being autistic himself, he says it's statistically likely the baby will be too. He builds the show around that, looking at fatherhood through the lens of neurodiversity.
The set specialises in 'Daddy Autism' sketches, and it's been described as critically acclaimed. If you're the sort of person who'd rather just watch the show than be part of it, there's a detail that might appeal: it runs with no unwanted audience interaction. Wells regularly tours mid-size UK venues, and the Birmingham date is part of a three-date run that also takes in Hertford, Cambridge and Swindon.
