Stage version of the BBC Radio comedy panel show, with Jack Dee as chairman, a panel of comedians and pianist Colin Sell.
I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue comes to the Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday 14 November, as part of its touring run. It's the BBC Radio comedy that's built a reputation as the antidote to the usual panel game, and this time it's recording part of its 86th series for the BBC, so you'll be in the audience for a broadcast.
Jack Dee chairs the evening, with a panel of comedians and pianist Colin Sell. The show is built on inspired nonsense rather than a proper prize, and it's a long one: about two hours and twenty minutes including an interval. The Radio Times once called it 'indisputably the greatest radio comedy of all time', and it's a multi-award-winning show that's been running for decades.
If you've never heard of it, the whole thing is a bit of a joke on the very idea of a panel game. There are rounds, and there's a score, but the points don't really matter and the games themselves are designed to be played badly. It's more about the banter and the chaos than who actually wins, which is why it works as a live show just as well as it does on the radio.
