The Invictus Games are coming to Birmingham next summer, running from 10 to 17 July 2027. Around 550 wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans, along with their families, will take part, representing 25 nations and competing in 12 adaptive sports. The festival side of the event is based at the NEC, so if you have been wondering how to get hold of tickets, the process is worth understanding early because sales are being released in stages this October.

The first window, the priority presale, has already taken place. It ran on 13 and 14 October and was open to members of the Armed Forces, including regulars, reserves, cadets and MOD civil servants, as well as veterans and eligible local residents from the West Midlands council areas. The next step is the Community presale on 20 and 21 October, which is open to people registered with the Birmingham 2027 Community. You can sign up through the official tickets page, and general sale opens on 22 October.
There are three main ticket types, and they can be mixed and matched in one order. A Sports Session ticket covers one specific competition plus access to the festival site on that day. A Festival Pass gives you all-day access to the festival at the NEC, and a Ceremony Ticket admits you to either the Opening or the Closing Ceremony. Everything is handled digitally, so you will need to manage your tickets on your phone or device.
Prices for adults start at £10 for a Festival Pass, £15 for a Sports Session and £27 for a Ceremony Ticket. Concessions start at £8, £10 and £22 respectively. There is no booking fee per ticket, but a single £2 transaction fee applies to each order. Online purchases are capped at 10 tickets per sports session, and at 4 for swimming and for the ceremonies.
If you need accessible tickets, you will require either a free IG27 Digital Access Pass or a valid Nimbus Access Card, which costs £15 and lasts for three years. Applications for the Digital Access Pass take around five to seven working days to process, so it may be worth applying before you plan to buy. Current details and the latest updates are all on the official Invictus Games 2027 tickets page.
