Zucchini Kill bakery celebrates its ninth anniversary with a kitty cake walk, cat-themed cake prizes, and complimentary drinks.
Zucchini Kill is celebrating its ninth anniversary on Saturday, September 26, with a party at their bakery in Midtown. The afternoon runs from 2 PM to 6 PM, and the whole thing is built around their signature cake walk, which they'll run every hour on the hour. To get in on one, you sign up by buying any Zk bakery item; ten people per walk, cat ears required, and a number drawn to decide who takes home a kitty cat cake.
Beyond the cake walk, the menu will feature cat-inspired dessert specials throughout the afternoon, and the bakery is framing the day as a thank you to guests for "9 years of eating cake." The whole event carries a riot grrrl spirit, and everything they serve is gluten-free and vegan. The flyer art for the occasion is by @heavens.inferno.

Zucchini Kill is run by the self-styled "kitchen witches" of the shop, and this party marks nine years of them doing their thing in Austin. If you're into gluten-free and vegan treats and don't mind wearing cat ears for a chance at a cake, it's a good one to drop by. The party is at Zucchini Kill Bakery, 701 E 53rd St, in Midtown, on Saturday, September 26, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
