Zachary Rodriguez is coming to BookPeople on Tuesday, November 10, for a talk and signing around his new cookbook, Taco Party. He's an Austin resident originally from the Chicago area, and if you've spent any time on TikTok, you've probably seen him. He started making recipe videos as a content creator in early 2023, with Mexican cuisine as his favorite subject, and that work led to his first best-selling cookbook, My Mexican Favorites.
Taco Party is built around his two most-requested recipes: tacos and cocktails. The book features Street-Style Spiced Chicken Tacos, Smoky Citrus Shrimp Tacos, and Slow-Roasted Pork Belly Tacos, paired with homemade salsas, dips, and drinks like a Strawberry Basil Margarita. It's the kind of thing that works as a reference for a weekend dinner party as much as a regular weeknight meal.

The evening starts at 7 PM on the second floor of BookPeople, 603 North Lamar Boulevard. It kicks off with a 45-to-60-minute discussion with Rodriguez, and after that, he'll be in a signing line to personalize copies of the book. The event is ticketed and includes a copy of Taco Party with your ticket, so you'll have your book ready for the signing line. There won't be a live stream or recording, so you'll need to be there in person to catch the talk.
