Texas-born singer-songwriter William Harries Graham performs live with The Fighting Cocks at The Saxon Pub.
William Harries Graham is back on stage with The Fighting Cocks at The Saxon Pub on Wednesday, September 2. It's a local return for Graham, a Texas-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who's playing with a full band behind him.
If you're not familiar with his work, Graham describes his writing as drawing from folk, indie rock, ambient music, and classic American songwriting. He puts those together to build cinematic songs that blend memory and fiction, so the set should pull from a few different directions at once. The folk and classic songwriting provide the structure, while the ambient and indie rock elements add the textures that push the songs toward that cinematic feel he talks about. With The Fighting Cocks backing him, those sounds will have a full band to carry them.

It's a Texas-born songwriter returning to a Texas stage, and the Saxon is a natural fit for a night built around songwriting. The show starts at 10 PM, so it's a late oneβthe kind of set that works well if you're in the mood to settle in for a while. The Saxon Pub is at 1320 South Lamar Boulevard in Austin.
