Live podcast recording of the Bravo recap show with hosts Ben Mandelker and Ronnie Karam, presented by Moontower Comedy.
Watch What Crappens is coming to the Paramount Theatre on Friday, November 13, as part of their In The Mix Tour. It's a live recording of the Bravo recap podcast, hosted by Ben Mandelker and Ronnie Karam, so the show is built around the same thing they do every day: recapping the latest Bravo episodes, trading gossip, and leaning into the shadiness. If you've listened to the show, you know the drill. If you haven't, it's essentially their regular format brought to a stage, with the live audience becoming part of the recording.
There's a bit of a winning streak behind the tour, too. The podcast took home the 2026 iHeartPodcast Award for Best TV Podcast, and Mandelker and Karam keep a relentless pace, putting out episodes five times a week. This is them taking that energy back on the road with live recaps and gossip. The Austin stop is presented by Moontower Comedy, the same crew that puts on the Moontower Comedy Festival.
That brings us to the venue. The Paramount has stood on Congress Avenue for over a century, built in 1915 as the city's oldest surviving theatre. It started as a Vaudeville and variety house and is now a City and State Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's one of the few remaining 'hemp houses' in the country—the walls are literally made of hemp—and it serves as the home of the Moontower Comedy Festival and a hub for the SXSW and Austin Film Festival scenes. It's run alongside the neighboring State Theatre by the non-profit Austin Theatre Alliance.
