A creative night out where attendees paint UT-themed pottery while enjoying specialty drinks to celebrate the start of the football season.
The Art Garage is hosting a UT Kickoff Paint Night on Friday, September 4, from 5 PM to 7:45 PM. It's a pottery painting session themed around the University of Texas, timed for the start of the football season. The whole point is to get into the Longhorn spirit with a creative night out, so if you're already counting down to kickoff, this is a way to lean into it before the first game.
The main event is painting UT-themed pottery, and they'll have specialty drinks to sip while you work. It's set up as a social thing—something to do with friends rather than a solo project—so it works as a group outing. You'll spend the evening painting, drinking, and hanging out with other people getting ready for the season.

The studio is located at The Art Garage, 5501 North Lamar, Suite A-225, in the Brentwood area of Austin. It runs from 5 PM to 7:45 PM, which puts it right in that early evening window—late enough to be a post-work thing, but early enough that you're not staying out half the night. Tickets are $15, and you'll pay for your pottery on top of that.
