Stand-up comedy show with Usama Siddiquee, Bengali-American comedian and actor, at Cap City Comedy Club.
Usama Siddiquee is playing a three-night run at Cap City Comedy Club starting Friday, August 21. He's a Bengali-American stand-up comedian, writer, and actor based in New York City, and these are his Austin dates.
If you recognize the name but can't quite place it, you've probably seen him on screen. He rose to prominence as a finalist and fan favorite on Kevin Hart's Netflix series Funny AF and has since built a steady presence as a scene-stealer in Inventing Anna and Survival of the Thickest (both Netflix), And Just Like That (HBO), Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (Comedy Central), and Better Things (FX). He also appeared in the Netflix comedy Best of the Best alongside Hasan Minhaj, Priyanka Kedia, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. He made his late-night TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2024, and in 2018 he was named a New Face at the Just For Laughs Festival.
His stand-up draws on a high-energy, rapid-fire style and pulls from his own life: his upbringing as a Muslim in Texas, his dating misadventures, and his time on America's Got Talent. He released his first half-hour special with Don't Tell Comedy in 2025, so this run is a good chance to catch him live in a room rather than through a screen.
