Weekly live music session featuring rotating talent playing heartfelt originals in the intimate listening room of The Saxon Pub.
Tunesmiths Tuesdays is the weekly songwriting series at The Saxon Pub, and it's back this Tuesday, September 29, at 10 PM. It's one of the pub's own nights, built around Austin's songwriting scene and staged in an intimate listening room. The format is simple: rotating talent comes in each week to play heartfelt originals spanning Americana, folk, and roots styles. Because the lineup changes every Tuesday, you'll hear a different set of voices and songs each time you drop in.
The Saxon Pub itself has been a fixture on South Lamar since 1990, with well over 22,000 performances under its roof. It's one of the city's iconic live music venues, and the room has served as a location for films, videos, and countless live recordings. Over the years, it's helped launch the careers of several prominent entertainers and also books some of the greatest music legends around. Kris Kristofferson once likened playing there to playing in his own living room, which pretty much sums up the vibe.

Beyond the main stage, the venue is also known for its free weekday happy hour shows, so there's often music happening here well before the late-night sets kick in. Tunesmiths Tuesdays starts at 10 PM, making it a good late-night option if you're already out in South Austin. It's at The Saxon Pub, 1320 S Lamar Blvd.
