Weekly showcase of original music from the Tunesmiths ATX community of songwriters, musicians, producers and creatives at The Saxon Pub.
Tunesmiths Tuesdays is back at The Saxon Pub this Tuesday, October 13, from 10 PM to 11:30 PM. It's the pub's own weekly series, a showcase of original music from the Tunesmiths ATX community—a local circle of songwriters, musicians, producers, and creatives. Each week, the house band welcomes a featured songwriter for a night of songs, stories, and collaborations, with rotating local talent delivering heartfelt originals across Americana, folk, and roots styles in an intimate setting.
Because the lineup rotates every week, you'll hear a different songwriter taking the lead each Tuesday. The house band provides the backing, and the set usually mixes the featured artist's own songs with stories from behind them and a few collaborations along the way. The sound stays firmly in the Americana, folk, and roots tradition, so it's a good spot if you're into songwriting and original material rather than covers.
The Saxon Pub, which opened in 1990, is one of Austin's iconic live music venues and has hosted well over 22,000 performances. It's a room that's seen a lot of music over the years, and this series is part of that ongoing tradition. If you've been around the Austin scene for a while, you know the kind of place it is—a spot where the music takes center stage and the focus is on the songs.

Tickets are $10, and it's free for artists. The show runs from 10 PM to 11:30 PM, so it's a late-night one. If you're into Americana and folk and want to hear original songs from Austin's songwriting community, this is a solid way to spend a Tuesday night.
