Concert by British grime and hip-hop artist Tricky at Mohawk Austin, presented by Resound Presents.
Tricky plays Mohawk Austin on Monday, September 21, as part of the Resound Presents series. He's the sole bill for the night, coming in from Bristol, Knowle West, and taking the stage alone.
If you've followed him, you know that Bristol connection is a big part of the story. He grew up in Knowle West, a working-class area of the city, and that's where he cut his teeth in the trip-hop scene that defined the sound of the nineties. He's one of the names most tied to that era, and he's still carrying that Bristol lineage with him when he tours.
Since this is a Resound Presents show, it's part of a larger run of dates they're putting together, and Tricky is the main feature here. He'll be performing under his own name, with no other acts on the bill, so the whole night is built around his set.
