Trashy Annie performs live at The Rustic Tap, with a Survivor 51 premiere watch party.
Trashy Annie plays The Rustic Tap on Wednesday, September 23, as part of a two-day Survivor 51 Premiere Watch Party! presented by Brice and Wen Present, Trashy Annie Music, and Hill Country Survivor Games. The night is built around the premiere of Survivor Season 51, so it's as much a watch party as it is a show.
Trashy Annie is the project of Annie Davis, who describes the sound as rock 'n' roll with a country soul. She burst onto the Austin scene in 2021, and her path to the front of the stage was a bit of a pivot: she started as a trumpet player before turning her attention to singing and songwriting. She taught herself guitar in 2020 and played her first open mic early that same year, just before the pandemic hit. By 2023, she'd picked up the CMA of Texas Artist of the Year award. She signed with Cleopatra Records in late 2022 and released her debut album, Sticks and Stones, in May 2023. The music sits in the alt-country and alt-country rock camp.
The evening has a full run of things to get through. Doors open at 5 PM, and Survivor Rocks kicks things off at 5:45 PM. The main event is the Survivor Season 51 premiere at 7 PM, and DJ Jerri Manthey takes over at 9 PM to keep the night going. If you're coming for the music, Trashy Annie is the draw; if you're here for the reality TV, the premiere is the center of it all. The whole thing is part of a two-day celebration, so this is one half of a larger watch party weekend.
