Free outdoor screening of Toy Story 5 at the Community Cinema in Community First! Village, with guided tours of the Village before the film.
Toy Story 5 is coming to the Community Cinema & Amphitheater at Community First! Village on Friday, November 6, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The movie is directed by McKenna Harris and Andrew Stanton, who also wrote it, and it brings back Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack. It's rated PG and runs an hour and 42 minutes.
If you haven't been before, the Community Cinema is an outdoor venue run by Mobile Loaves & Fishes inside the Community First! Village. They describe it as Austin's coolest outdoor cinema, where film, family and fun come together under the stars. The screenings are presented in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse, and the popcorn, candy and drinks are served by Village neighbors earning a dignified income through Community Works and other micro-enterprise opportunities. Concessions are card only, and tips are appreciated.
There's more to the evening than just the movie. Before the film starts, guided tours of the Village are offered, so you can get a sense of the place before settling in. Dogs on leashes are welcome, too. If you're looking for a spot to host your own thing, the amphitheater can also be rented for private events.
