Concert by the rock and roll band Thunderosa Atx at the Come and Take It Live venue.
Thunderosa Atx are playing Come and Take It Live on Monday, August 31. It's the third Austin date they've got lined up this month, following a show at Knomad Bar on August 23 and another at Cowboy Harley-Davidson Austin on August 29. If you've missed the first two, this is the one that puts them on a proper stage.
Thunderosa has been around since 1998, and they've done it all without a record label or any outside backing. They've put out six albums over the years, and the sound they've built doesn't sit in one place. It pulls from punk and heavy blues, rock and roll, honky tonk, and what they call sacred traditions. It's a wide reach, but it all fits under the same roof.
That touring history tells you who they've shared stages with. Over the years, they've played alongside Willie Nelson, Reverend Horton Heat, Nashville Pussy, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Clutch, and Corrosion of Conformity. That's a range that goes from outlaw country and rockabilly to heavy stoner rock, which gives you a pretty good idea of the ground they cover in a single set.
