Live music night featuring four Austin punk rock bands at the historic Hole in the Wall venue.
Throat Piss, Leche, Mallories, and Bug are all on the same bill at Hole in the Wall on Friday, September 18. It's a four-band run that takes up most of the night, with the music starting at 9 PM and running well past midnight.
Bug opens the night at 9 PM, followed by Mallories at 9:45 PM. Leche takes over at 10:30 PM, and Throat Piss closes things out at 11:15 PM. If you're only coming for one of them, you'll want to keep those times in mind—the headliner doesn't hit the stage until over two hours after the first set starts.
It's a fitting spot for a night like this. Hole in the Wall is one of Austin's oldest live music venues, having opened in 1974 in the Campus area. It started as a folkie hangout and a favorite stage for Townes Van Zandt, Nanci Griffith, and Blaze Foley, and later became a breeding ground for punk, cosmic country, and alternative, launching the careers of Timbuk3, Fastball, Spoon, and Shakey Graves. It's a historic two-stage dive with a capacity of a couple hundred, and it still books live music every night from 7 PM to close. There's a beer garden and a pinball arcade on site, and it was named the 2026 Readers Poll Best Dive Bar.

Doors open at 8 PM, so you've got an hour to get a drink and find a spot before Bug kicks things off at 9 PM. The cover is $10, and the whole night is 21 and up.
