Them Duqaines

Them Duqaines play The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company on Sunday, July 19, from 4 PM to 7 PM. It's a late-afternoon set, so you can catch it and still have your whole evening ahead of you.

On stage, they're playing a mix of original tunes and country covers meant for dancing. If you're the type who likes to get up and move, this is the set to come for. The originals give you a sense of where they're coming from, and the covers keep things familiar enough that you don't have to be a diehard fan to enjoy the afternoon.

The ABGB is a South Austin pizza and pint hangout at 1305 West Oltorf Street, with a large outdoor patio and a rotation of on-premise signature brews. Since it opened in 2013, its inside stage has become a regular stop for local bands. It holds about 270 people inside, with a laid-back, shared-table vibe, excellent sound, and a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. It was named a 2014 First Plates Winner and a 2014 Best Room With a Brew Critics Pick.

There's no cover charge for the show, so you can just drop in. The music runs from 4 PM to 7 PM, and since it's at the ABGB, you've got pizza and beer on hand while you listen.
