The Surfrajettes, a four-piece surf rock combo from Toronto, perform live at The Far Out Lounge & Stage.
The Surfrajettes play The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Wednesday, November 11, at 7 PM. They're a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto, Canada, and this is a headlining date for them.
They've been together since late 2015, blending psychedelic rock with reverb-drenched surf music. The sound is matched by a retro image of sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and heavy eyeliner. They first gained viral online notoriety through home-made performance videos and a feature by Norman's Rare Guitars in Los Angeles, and they put out their debut 45, Party Line / Toxic, in late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings.
Extensive touring followed that first single, leading to their debut LP, Roller Fink, in 2022, and a second album, Easy as Pie, in October 2025. The lineup consists of guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff, bassist Abby Jo Powell, and drummer Annie Lillis.
