The Riverside

The Riverside are playing a house concert in Austin on Thursday, November 19. The trio consists of Jake Jeanson, Kristen Posey, and Chase Fierro, and they describe themselves as best friends and present-day bards whose music draws on the vistas of the American West.

These house concerts are what they're best known for. They're intimate, invite-only shows that form part of a national tour running from May through November across the United States. Each one is a private performance hosted in a personal setting, tailored by the host for a guest count of 10 to 100 people drawn from their own circle of friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. The band doesn't bring additional guests, so the intimacy stays. The shows run about 90 minutes and can happen indoors or outdoors, though indoor spaces are usually preferred for acoustics and as weather backup.

Fees work on a sliding scale, so hosts can cover the cost directly or offset it through ticket sales and guest donations. The band describes the format as a way to foster a meaningful connection with audiences and create cherished memories.
