The Peterson Brothers blues, soul and funk live music residency at Saxon Pub.
The Peterson Brothers are playing Saxon Pub on Tuesday, August 4, as part of their residency that runs every Tuesday through July, August, and September 2026. The show is from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, and the brothers are the only act on the bill.
Glenn and Alex Peterson were born and raised here in Austin, and they've built their name as one of the city's most exciting live acts. Their sound pulls from deep-rooted blues traditions and mixes them with soul, funk, R&B, and infectious grooves. The result is a high-energy show that keeps people dancing, and much of that comes from the chemistry of two brothers who've spent a lifetime making music together. They're the ones organizing the residency themselves, so this is their own thing, not a booking from a promoter.
Because it's a residency, you can catch them on any Tuesday through the end of September if you miss this one. The set is early—6 PM to 7:30 PM—so it's more of a happy hour or early evening thing than a late-night outing. The Saxon Pub is at 1320 South Lamar Boulevard, 78704.

There's no cover charge, so it's a free show, though RSVPs are encouraged and tips are greatly appreciated. If you're around on a Tuesday in August, it's a low-stakes way to spend an evening with some Austin blues and soul.
