The Mix is putting together a session at HowMuch?! Studios on Thursday, August 27, with a lineup that brings together a wide range of local names. It's a concert session rather than a single headliner, and the bill runs deep: Hope Noel, Liam Ex, Izi, Austin vs. Everybody, Indigo Bunny, Mr. Kat, and Hillcountry are all slated to play.
That's seven acts on one bill, so you'll get a good stretch of music throughout the evening. If you've been following the local scene, you'll recognize a few of these names, and if you haven't, it's a decent way to catch several different sounds in one go. The session is organized by The Mix, who's bringing the whole group together for the night.
HowMuch?! Studios is over in Midtown at 6910 Shirley Ste. L, Austin, TX 78752. It's a studio space, so it's a bit different from your usual club or bar setup. The session starts at 5 PM, which puts it in that late-afternoon, early-evening window—early enough that you're not staying up half the night, but late enough to be a proper night out.
