The Meditations bring their reggae to Flamingo Cantina on Friday, September 25. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the program.
If you're not already familiar with the room, Flamingo Cantina has spent more than 33 years as a spot for live reggae, ska, Latin and worldbeat, alongside rock, hip hop and alternative. It's hosted local, national and international artists over that time, from Afro-Cuban musician Ricardo Lemvo and the Mahotella Queens to the Rastafarian reggae of Burning Spear. The place is also known for Winston's jerk chicken, and artists keep returning to it for the vibe.
