The Latin Dukes play The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. on Sunday, September 6, at 2 PM. They're playing an eclectic blend of Latin music, and the set is part of the brewery's 13th anniversary party.
For those who haven't spent much time there, The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co.—or ABGB—is a South Austin pizza and pint hangout that's been around since 2013. It's known for its large outdoor patio and a rotation of on-premise signature brews, and its inside stage has become a regular stop for local bands. The room holds about 270 people and has a laid-back, shared-table vibe with excellent sound and a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Back in 2014, it was a Best of Austin Critics Pick for Best Room With a Brew and a First Plates Winner.
Since the show is part of the anniversary party, it's as much about the brewery as it is about the music. You'll find the signature brews on tap and the pizza coming out of the kitchen, with the Latin Dukes providing the soundtrack for the afternoon. It's a Sunday matinee, so it's the kind of thing you can roll into with a group and hang out for a while.
