Concert by the punk and ska band The Interrupters at the House of Blues in Austin.
The Interrupters play the House of Blues on Tuesday, March 23, 2027, starting at 6 PM. They're a punk and ska band out of Los Angeles, and this is their only Austin date on the books for the spring.
If you're not familiar with them, they formed in 2011 around frontwoman Aimee Interrupter and the Bivona brothers: Kevin on guitar, Justin on bass, and Jesse on drums. Before this, the Bivonas were mainstays in Tim Timebomb And Friends, the ad hoc band put together by Tim Armstrong. Armstrong has stayed close ever since, acting as a mentor, producer, and what he calls an honorary "fifth Interrupter."
Their sound draws from two specific places: the 1990s punk-rock resurgence and the original 2 Tone ska bands. They released a self-titled debut in 2014, followed by Say It Out Loud in 2016 and Fight The Good Fight in 2018, all on Hellcat Records, Armstrong's imprint through Epitaph. Over the years they've toured heavily, including a run on the Vans Warped Tour and support slots for Rancid, Bad Religion, and Green Day.
