The Fray and Dashboard Confessional perform together on the Summer of Light Tour at Moody Amphitheater.
The Fray are playing Moody Amphitheater on Wednesday, July 29, as part of their Summer of Light Tour. They're not coming alone: Dashboard Confessional is joining them for the run, so you'll get two bills in one night.
The tour is built around new material. The Fray are bringing new tracks to the stage, and the Summer of Light title points to the new songs they're working through. It's a co-headlining setup, so both bands will have their own sets rather than one opening for the other.
If you've followed either band for a while, you know the ground they cover. The Fray built their name on piano-driven songs with big choruses, and Dashboard Confessional came up from the emo-leaning side of the early 2000s, centered on Chris Carrabba's voice and an acoustic guitar. Putting them together on the same bill brings two different streaks of that era into one evening.
