An art market featuring local artists and practitioners, with a Best Dressed Dog Competition.
The Dog Days of Summer Market is coming to The Buzz Mill on Friday, August 14, from 7 PM to 11 PM. It's part of the Austin Mystical Market, an art market owned and run by the artists who vend there, held at The Buzz Mill every second Friday of the month. The collective leans into mystical aesthetics, and all vendor fees go toward promoting the events rather than lining the organizers' pockets. Team lead Pake Stephens brings more than 19 years of vending experience to the project.
This edition adds a Best Dressed Dog Competition at 9 PM, with a $150 gift card to @pawsonchicon as the grand prize and a gift card for six free self-service dog washes for the runner-up. The vendor list is long, with Lombardo ceramics, Flor Y Sombra, Psychic Medium Readings + Apothecary, Emerald Astrology, Cody Schibi, Maya's HeartArt, Earthy Ashley, Stress Free Soul Coach, House of Wick, Rebecca Frazier Jewelry, Sass Craft Society, Nox Lumina Candles, Very Scary Bears, Nest Nebula, Best Friends Dog Bakery, Pekàrna, Meteor Muts, Pet Photography, Roots of Radiance, Doug Goodman (Author), Streepy Art, The Freckled Fairy, Novaji, Seditious Seraphim, and Pake. You'll find everything from ceramics and jewelry to psychic readings, astrology, candles, and dog-focused treats and services.
