The Cleverlys with special guests Jomo & The Possum Posse

The Cleverlys bring their comedy and music act to The 04 Center on Saturday, August 22, with Jomo & The Possum Posse opening. The Cleverlys hail from the Ozark Mountains and have played the Grand Ole Opry; Rolling Stone once described their style as a hybrid of Homer and Jethro and The Office. The group is a family affair: Dr. Digger, his son Ziggy Cleverly, and his nephews Steven Tyler Dale, Plug, and Sock Cleverly.

Opening the night is Jomo & The Possum Posse, led by award-winning songwriter Jomo Edwards. They describe their sound as a blend of razor-sharp wit, dead-eyed soul, and anti-machismo honky-tonk, and they first gained notoriety through the viral video series Guy On A Buffalo. Edwards took first place in Merlefest's 2021 Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. The band's discography runs back over a decade: Let's Ride, Boys in 2012, Local Motive in 2016, Take a Number, Satan in 2019, and their most recent album, Yesterday's Coffee, released in 2024.

On stage, the Possum Posse features Brian Wolfe on bass, Jes Clifford on guitar, and Charlie Kessenich on drums, often joined by local Austin musicians. The show starts at 7 PM, with general admission tickets at $20 and VIP at $40.
