Stand-up comedy and improv show by The Christi Show (Christianee Porter) at Cap City Comedy Club.
The Christi Show brings her stand-up and improv to Cap City Comedy Club on Sunday, November 29, starting at 7 PM. The show is the work of Christianee Porter, who performs under the name The Christi Show.
Porter is a Little Rock, Arkansas native who now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She's an entertainer who acts, sings, raps, and dances, and she started doing stand-up comedy in 2013. After a while, she got tired of fighting for her spot on stage and shifted her focus to making improv videos online, playing a variety of different characters. In July 2016, one of those characters, Ms. Shirleen, went viral, and Porter began touring the country performing stand-up and singing as her.
That character has since taken her to a few different screens. She's appeared on TVOne's Sisters' Circle and Fox's Right This Minute, and she had a role in Tyler Perry's film Madea's Family Funeral. The show at Cap City combines that stand-up with the improv that first put her on the map, so you'll get both the storytelling and the character work in one night.
