Texas String Assembly, an Austin americana-bluegrass roots-rock band, performs live with Houston singer-songwriter Lia Graham at The Cactus Cafe.
Texas String Assembly are playing Cactus Cafe on Thursday, July 23, with Houston singer-songwriter Lia Graham joining them on stage. The Assembly are an Austin band playing high-energy americana-bluegrass roots-rock, and they've become a fixture of the local live music scene since the release of Doggabone in 2022. Since then, they've taken that sound on the road, playing clubs and festivals across Texas, the southeastern US, New York City, Mexico, and Europe.
Lia Graham brings a different thread to the night. A Houston singer-songwriter, she writes music rooted in emotion and honesty, drawing on classic rock and indie folk. Having her join the Assembly on stage puts two distinct sounds in one room: the band's high-energy roots-rock and Graham's more intimate, folk-leaning approach.
