Tempesst

Tempesst play Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge on Wednesday, October 21, as part of the venue's regular programming. They're an alternative rock band formed in London by Australian twin brothers Toma Banjanin on vocals and guitar and Andy Banjanin on drums, with Eric Weber on guitar and Blake Misipeka on bass. They release through Pony Recordings, and their sound draws on psych, pop, and indie influences.

Their debut album, Must Be a Dream, came out in 2020 and caught the attention of NME, DIY Magazine, and BBC Radio 6. Prisoner of Desire followed in 2023 and brought further acclaim. Their latest, Forbidden Fruit, arrived in late 2024 as a more reflective, personal record, and they've spent the time since touring across Australia, the UK, and Europe.

Hotel Vegas and The Volstead Lounge are sister bars on East Sixth Street. The Volstead is inspired by old-world New Orleans and serves classic and seasonal house cocktails, old-world wines, and a craft draft beer selection that rotates constantly, with seating in a cozy lounge or on a large outdoor patio.

The show runs from 6 PM to 10 PM, and it's 21+ inside. Tickets are $30 in advance.
