Progressive rock trio Stick Men, featuring Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Markus Reuter, perform live at The 13th Floor.
Stick Men play The 13th Floor on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 8 PM. The trio is made up of Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Markus Reuter, three musicians who have sold more than 100 million records combined. They're a progressive rock supergroup in the truest sense of the word, and they've built their sound around a few instruments you don't see every day.
Bassist Tony Levin, one of the most recorded players in music history and a veteran of Peter Gabriel and King Crimson, plays the Chapman Stick that gives the band its name. Drummer Pat Mastelotto, also of King Crimson and Mr. Mister, blends acoustic drums with electronic elements, and Markus Reuter plays a touch-style guitar he designed himself. Together they cover a lot of ground, from art rock to progressive metal, and their live shows are known for extended improvisational jams. They also pay homage to their King Crimson roots, playing select pieces from that band's catalog.
There's a new record to look forward to, too. Their 2016 album Prog Noir was hailed as a modern prog epic, and they've announced their first full-length studio album in a decade, Let's THRAK Again. It arrives 31 years after King Crimson's 1995 album THRAK and comes fully sanctioned by the band's founder, Robert Fripp. Between the new material, the improvisations, and the Crimson pieces, there's a good bit to hear in one night.
