Stew's Big Texas Sized Punk Show Round II

Stew's Big Texas Sized Punk Show returns to Kick Butt Coffee on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. It's the second edition of the night, which Stew bills as a showcase for Austin's punk scene—loud guitars, fast songs, and nonstop energy from a lineup of the city's favorite bands. Kick Butt Coffee is one of Austin's longest-running independent live music venues, and this particular night doubles as a tour kickoff party.

Stew! is heading out on their first official tour, and they're taking Social Anxiety and Society's Joke along for the ride. The support acts for the night include Austin pop-punk legends Dropped Out, local favorites Last to Know, and Morocco, who are making the trip over from Dallas. Between the tour-bound bands and the local support, the bill pulls from across the city and beyond.

There's a practical side to the evening, too: the band is hoping to raise money toward their gas, beer, and gas-station-burrito fund for the road.
