Four original Star Trek films are screened over the weekend, each paired with a 1960s TV episode from the series.
Alamo Drafthouse Village is running a Star Trek marathon from September 4 to 8, pairing four of the original crew's movies with episodes from the show's 1960s run. It's a long weekend of the original cast, and the screenings are spread across the five days rather than crammed into one night, so you can pick and choose your favorites or settle in for the whole run.
The lineup starts with The Motion Picture, which brings the classic Enterprise crew back together in their older years. Then comes The Wrath of Khan, widely considered the most well-known of the franchise's theatrical outings. The Search for Spock follows, leaning into Vulcan biology, and The Voyage Home rounds things outβthe one that's earned the nickname 'the One With the Whales.' Each movie is paired with a 1960s TV episode, so you get a bit of the original series alongside the big-screen sequels.

While the main focus is at Alamo Drafthouse Village (2700 W. Anderson #701 in Austin Midtown), the screenings aren't limited to just one spot. They're also running at the South Lamar, Slaughter Lane, Lakeline, and Mueller locations, so you can catch them at whichever Drafthouse is closest to you. If you're only in the mood for one or two, you've got the whole weekend to fit them in.
