A Halloween-themed book swap dinner where guests enjoy a three-course meal while participating in a White Elephant book swap with costumes encouraged.
Toasty Badger is bringing back its Book Swap Dinner on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, this time as a Halloween edition. It's part of the diner's ongoing series, and the whole night is built around swapping books over a three-course meal. Costumes are encouraged, and spooky reads are welcome.
The swap works like a White Elephant: everyone brings an unwrapped thriller, a cozy mystery, or another Halloween-themed book. The staff then wraps each one and redistributes them, so you leave with a surprise instead of the one you brought. It's a good way to clear out your shelves and walk away with something you wouldn't have picked for yourself.
Between the courses, you'll be swapping, sipping, and talking books with the other guests. The three-course dinner is $35, and beverages are available for purchase. Reservations are through OpenTable.
