Hard rock band Social Dissonance headlines at Antone's, supported by Nogu Svelo.
Social Dissonance play Antone's on Wednesday, October 7, with Nogu Svelo opening. The night starts at 6:30 PM at 305 E 5th St.
Social Dissonance is an Austin hard rock band that formed in 2020, one of the many acts that grew out of the city's music scene. The current lineup puts Lucy Garner on vocals, Shane Gordon on bass, Cyrus Geller on guitar, and Sean Burton on drums. They describe their sound as a fusion of punk, metal, and alternative rock—three styles that usually sit close enough to share a stage, and here they're blended into one set. If you've seen them before, you know the sound: Garner's vocals leading a heavy, guitar-driven approach that pulls from those different corners of rock.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. Nogu Svelo opens the night as part of their Unstable Equilibrium tour, which brings them through the city's upstairs room. With the local alt-rockers on support, the whole evening stays within the rock family, starting with Nogu Svelo and moving into Social Dissonance's hard rock.

It's a midweek show, so it's an easier one to fit in than a weekend date. The music starts at 6:30 PM at Antone's, 305 E 5th St, in the heart of downtown Austin.
