Shrek-themed festival featuring music, an onion eating contest, and a costume contest at Brushy Street Commons, with performances by Blue Tongue, Allepakcok, and Grandma Mousey.
Shrek Fest 5 is coming to Brushy Street Commons on Friday, August 28, and it's moving to a new spot this time around. The organizers say they're turning the venue into a swamp for one night only, so the whole thing is built around the Shrek theme. If you've been following the festival, this is the fifth edition, and the new location puts it in a different part of town than where it's been before.
The lineup for the night is Blue Tongue, an Austin-based act, along with Allepakcok and Grandma Mousey. All three will be playing as part of the festival's music and entertainment, alongside an onion eating contest and a costume contest. With the swamp theme running through the evening, it's a Shrek-focused night from start to finish.
