Secret Level: Stand-Up Comedy Show

Secret Level is back at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller on Friday, October 23, at 8 PM. It's a stand-up night run by Austin comedian and producer Chris Tan, who books comics from some of the city's biggest comedy hubs: Comedy Mothership, Kill Tony, SXSW, and Don't Tell Comedy. If you've been following the Austin scene, those names should ring a bell—they're the rooms and festivals where a lot of the city's current comedy is being shaped.

The show takes place in a carnival-themed bar inside the Drafthouse, so it's a bit different from your typical comedy club. It's a smaller, more intimate space, and since it's inside a movie theater, you've got a full kitchen menu to order from throughout the night. If you're driving, there's free garage parking validated at the front desk, which makes getting to Mueller a lot easier than hunting for a spot on the street.

One thing that sets Secret Level apart is the run it's on. October 23 is just the start—the show continues every Friday through the end of the year: October 30, November 6, 13, 20, and 27, and finally December 4. Each one starts at 8 PM, so if you miss the first one, you've got plenty of chances to catch it later in the fall. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door.
