Ron Funches

Ron Funches is playing Cap City Comedy Club on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, with two showtimes each night—one around 7 PM and another around 9:15 or 9:30 PM. He'll be in the Red Room, and each night opens with one or two other comics before he takes the stage.

Funches is touring a new hour that mixes stories about fatherhood, health, and creativity. He adds a Lightning Round of new tags and a Crowd-Work Window to the set, and the whole thing runs about 90 to 110 minutes, with his headlining spot taking up 60 to 75 of those. He's described himself as the human embodiment of a warm hug who somehow learned to roast you with love, and his stand-up is built on upbeat, affirming storytelling, sharp punchlines, and playful crowd work. He cut his teeth in the Pacific Northwest and is a devoted pro-wrestling fan whose wrestling riffs often sneak into his sets.

If you don't know him from the stage, you've likely heard him elsewhere. He's released several acclaimed comedy specials, including the Comedy Central hour Giggle Fit, and has a steady screen presence, from NBC's Undateable to Peacock's The Traitors, Apple TV's Loot, and FOX's New Girl. His voice work is just as prolific: he's in Pixar's Inside Out 2, the DreamWorks Trolls franchise, and Harley Quinn, where he voices King Shark.

Tickets are around $80. Between the two nights and two showtimes each, there are four chances to catch him in the Red Room.
