Rock and punk concert featuring Outta Grace and The Meanhearts at Crow Bar / The Raven Room, part of the Rock N Roll Matinee series.
Outta Grace and The Meanhearts play Crow Bar / The Raven Room on Saturday, August 22, as part of a Rock N Roll Matinee. The bill is built around Outta Grace, billed as Austin's newest #justrocknroll band, and shares the stage with the punk-rockers The Meanhearts.
Outta Grace is fronted by Frankie Nowhere, who's also in Chumps, Eastside Suicides, and Flash Boys. The rest of the lineup pulls from a deep well of the local scene: Frank Garymartin of We Are The Asteroid and Pain Teens, Abel Idle from Sex Pump, and Mike Gupta, known for Sadistic Force and Micks Jaguar. It's a band of established names coming together under a new name, and they're playing alongside The Meanhearts, who bring the punk side of the bill.
The show follows the Rock N Roll Matinee format, where venues stage afternoon shows to draw in younger crowds alongside Gen-X and older fans. It's an all-ages bill, so you can bring whoever you want. Sonny Chubs is on pizza, and the whole thing is being framed as a throwback to the glory days of The Parlor.
