Rebreather is a three-piece: Steve Gardner, Barley Rantilla, and Steve Wishnewski. They've been active since 1999, and they describe their sound as spanning sludge, metal, doom, rock, and stoner. If you're not familiar with those terms, it's the heavier, slower end of the spectrum—sludge and doom lean into the low end and the weight of the riffs, while stoner rock brings in the psychedelic side. It's the kind of music that works best when it's loud.

Because they've been playing together for over two decades, they've had plenty of time to settle into that sound.
