Ramon Ayala, known as 'El Rey del Acordeon', performs his farewell 'Historia De Un Final' tour at the Moody Center.
Ramon Ayala brings his Historia De Un Final tour to Moody Center on Saturday, July 25, 2026. He'll be performing with Sus Bravos Del Norte, and the show starts at 7 PM.
If you know him as 'El Rey del Acordeon', the title of the tour explains the occasion: Ayala is closing out a career that's taken him from dance halls to arenas. Born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, he's spent a long time playing Texas, with past shows at the Victoria Community Center Dome in 2019 and the Dome in 2018. One of those dates, performed alongside Jimmy Gonzalez, turned out to be Gonzalez's final show ever; he died the following week in a San Antonio hospital. This stop at Moody Center is part of that farewell run.

It's a big room for a farewell tour, but Ayala has spent decades moving between the smaller venues and the larger stages. The Historia De Un Final tour is the final chapter of that trajectory, and this is one of the dates on the schedule. He'll be backed by Sus Bravos Del Norte, the group that's been with him through the years. The show is on Saturday, July 25, at 7 PM at Moody Center in Austin.
