Dr. Shefali Tsabary discusses raising conscious children with podcaster Jen Hatmaker, with a booksigning.
Dr. Shefali is coming to Central Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 21, for a conversation about raising conscious kids in an anxious world. She'll be joined by Jen Hatmaker, the New York Times bestselling author and host of the For the Love podcast. The evening is built around Shefali's two new books, Raising Conscious Daughters: Building Confidence, Courage, and Inner Power in an Anxious World and Raising Conscious Sons: Cultivating Purpose, Connection, and Inner Power in a Chaotic World.
Shefali is a Columbia-trained clinical psychologist and the founder of the Conscious Parenting movement, and her work blends Western psychology with Eastern wisdom. The two books she's touring together look at the same goal—raising conscious children—from two different angles, one for daughters and one for sons. Hatmaker will be there to talk through them with her, and the conversation will be followed by a book signing.
Hatmaker brings her own recent history to the table: her 2025 memoir Awake chronicles her journey through the end of her 26-year marriage. Between Shefali's background in psychology and Hatmaker's experience as a podcaster and writer, the night should move between the practical side of parenting and the more personal side of navigating a difficult season.
