A social climbing meetup for the LGBTQIA+ community at Crux Climbing Center Central, welcoming all abilities.
Queer Cuties Climb is back at Crux Climbing Center (Central) on Tuesday, August 11, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's Crux's LGBTQIA+ climbing meetup, a social group that runs every other Tuesday evening at their Central location.
The whole point of the night is to bring together queer community members in a safe, supportive, and joyful space where you can mingle and meet other people. The climbing itself is open to all abilities, from absolute beginners who have never touched a wall to seasoned climbers who've been at it for years. If you've never climbed before, this is a low-pressure way to get started; if you're already a regular, it's a chance to climb with a specific crowd.
One thing that sets this apart from a typical gym session is the balance. The focus is as much on the social connection as it is on the wall, so you're just as likely to spend your time chatting and hanging out as you are actually climbing. It's less about hitting a new grade and more about the people you're doing it with.
